Meet Caleb.
In addition to leading the Conrad Law Firm, Caleb currently serves as a part-time Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Saline County. Caleb previously served as an Assistant Attorney General where his work centered on 42 U.S.C. § 1983 civil rights litigation and representing state agencies.
Caleb was raised in Saline County, where he graduated as a proud Benton Panther in 2012. In 2017, after a stint on the hit show America’s Got Talent with his buddies Tyler and Will as “Triple Threat,” he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arkansas and received a scholarship to attend law school.
During his time in law school Caleb was the Assistant Managing Editor (’19) and an Associate Editor (’20) of the UA Little Rock Law Review, served as a public service extern for U.S. District Judge D.P. Marshall, Jr., and provided free legal services and representation to low-income residents in southeast Arkansas through Bowen’s Delta Clinic. Caleb’s extensive clerking experience includes stints for prestigious Arkansas law firms, a Fortune 500 company, and legal aid efforts at the Medical-Legal Partnership housed at Arkansas Children’s in Little Rock.
Caleb is an accomplished researcher and writer, as he has written several articles on topics like the relationship between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the criminal justice system, progressive prosecution reform efforts, and racial and social justice. He has had papers published in the UA Little Rock Law Review, Washburn Law Journal, St. Thomas Law Review, University of Cincinnati Law Review, and Case Western Reserve Law Review. He has also presented his work at law review symposia and other conferences around the country, including at the Virtual Colloquium on Race, Racism, and American Media hosted by the Georgetown University and the University of Houston law centers and the Black and Blue Symposium hosted at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. In April of 2022, the Bowen School of Law’s Curriculum Committee unanimously approved Caleb’s proposal to create and offer a new law course, Progressive Prosecution: Law & Policy. Caleb taught the first installment of the course in the Spring 2023 semester to a full classroom.
Outside of his legal work, Caleb is involved in the community in personal ways. He is passionate about serving children and families, and was appointed by Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. to Little Rock’s Commission on Children, Youth, and Families, where he served from 2021-2023, and he currently sits on the steering committee for the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families Kids Count Coalition. Caleb has been the Director of Praise and Worship at his church, Asbury United Methodist, since the summer of 2018, serves as the President of the Kingwood Neighborhood Association, and he and his brother, Aaron, are the youngest season ticket holders for the Arkansas Travelers, the double-A minor league affiliate of the Seattle Mariners organization.
Caleb lives in Little Rock with his wife, Ashley, and their wonderful pup, Tinley.
